Robert Fox has been an organist based in Sydney for over 50 years. Between 1980 and 2004 he was the Director of Performing Arts at Shore School in North Sydney, and continues his role as School Organist, a post he has held since 1979.

Robert is the immediate past-President of the Organ Music Society of Sydney, and as a member of the Education Sub-Committee, was for many years involved in the organisation of the Sydney Organ Competition, until stepping down in 2024.

Robert is the resident organist at Yirranma Place in Darlinghurst, overseeing a full restoration of the 1927 JE Dodd organ in that venue. He is the organ accompanist for the Sydney Male Choir which performs annually in the Sydney Town Hall.
