Sydney Organ Competition

Welcome to the Sydney Organ Competition website, a truly historic occasion in the life of the Society, as we announce the prizewinners of our very first online competition.

As a consequence of the global COVID-19 pandemic, with its uncertain time frame of relaxing travel restrictions and public gatherings guidelines, the OMSS reluctantly decided to postpone the Open Section until 2021, and to proceed with the Preliminary, Junior and Intermediate Sections in an online format.

We were delighted to have received a record number of entries, and our adjudicators have worked diligently to carefully evaluate and comment on each performance.

Individual reports will be mailed out to all contestants in the next few days, along with information about the conferring of prize money, certificates and trophies.

A huge thank you to all our contestants, their wonderful teachers - and parents, our distinguished adjudicators Simon Nieminski and Jim Abraham, and the OMSS Education Committee for the part you all played in turning challenging circumstances into such a successful event.
